First Blog Post!

Greetings and welcome to A.A.Weir's first official blog post! I am thoroughly excited to launch this website and want to share my journey as an artist and writer. Let me introduce myself and this creative project of mine.

My name is Alexis (or Alex, I'm cool with both) and I am an artist and writer from the Southern Appalachian region. I'm a 2nd degree black belt with over twelve years of martial arts experience and I'm also the proud mother of two kitties.

Dungeons and Dragons, pirates, old kaiju movies, and expanding my music collection are just a few of my favorite pastimes.

Writing and art has always been my primary creative outlet. Worldbuilding and developing the characters that live in those worlds is something I have been doing ever since I was a kid. Endlessly yapping about said worlds and characters is also something I have been doing since I was a kid.

With this website up and going, I am going to turn this into a haven for all my creative projects to share. My current project, Ithoro Mage Hunters is an illustrated serial webnovel set in my fantastical world of Aronile.

I have been working on this story on and off since I started highschool. With all the big changes that comes with growing up, I fell out of the habit of writing. A little over a decade later, I have rediscovered my love for writing and this time, I'm not letting it go.

I will also be posting my artwork and potentially smaller webcomics and stories. Blog posts will be sharing my creative process and fun things I find cool and/or inspirational. I believe it is important to also share my experiences as an artist/writer navigating the challenges that comes with following one's passion in today's age.
